You requsted it – the sequel to our overwhelmingly popular 2007 Nunsense! Now comes
“the rest of the story – the Second Coming!”
Our quintet of nuns are back at Mt. St. Helen’s School for another variety show,
this time with a set backdrop of “The Mikado,” scheduled for presentation on the
School’s stage by the local Hoboken Music Society.
A trio of scheming male “Franciscans” seek to abduct Sister Mary Paul, and
the action is nonstop hilarity with riotous escapades of nun-napping, theft, impersonations,
and an appearance by “Madame Butterfly” herself!
Musical numbers cover a broad stylistic spectrum: country, polka, soul, rock,
gospel, and even an audience sing-along.
The Reverend Mother’s patience is worn thin, but all turns out well in the end. And as the Sisters give thanks for once
again avoiding a catastrophe, in the rousing gospel finale There’s Only One Way to
End Your Prayers, you’ll join them in a hearty “Amen!”
